But... canine attacks (more than one person was mauled), having guns pointing in peoples faces, throwing kids down on the ground and kicking them then arreseting them, is completely uncalled for. Helicopters and tear gas well... all to breakup an event that could have been brought to a halt by simple communication.

point taken, but they were at an illegal rave. There is always a chance that an illegal will get busted. You go to an illegal, you take your chances do you not? I know I do. Granted, the reaction may have been somewhat extreme, but its safe to say americans are not known for being shy and retiring when it comes to shows of force.
I suppose the bigger question would be, if they came over the hills with guns dogs and helicopter support, why did they not run? I remember being at the 2004 Teknival and clocking the police descending en masse at 6am, so I ran. I ran like an escaped death row criminal.

this rave was genuine and officially sanctioned suppossedly! the lady who owns the land has had this happen b4, the event organisers had all the required permits from the local authorities, basically its a bit like the sas stormin the sanctuary mid-rave. only in america can this happen, so much for freedom they keep telling us/annoying us about. damned hypocrites!

Life's a bitch, init? So, how do we fight the evil, protests? Protesting never worked unless the government were set to gain more as a result of it. The odd small protest works because the government can improve their image by giving in. They dont do it because the people want it.

So if protesting doesnt work, what will? They take away all our rights and freedoms, there will eventually only be one way left, and you can bet it will not be the good that choose that way.

The difference between me and you, and the "terrorists" who do the 9/11 or London bombings is that we care about the innocent people. To them, we are all guilty just because we were born here.

You really don't have a clue what evil is don't you?

It's pretty obvious that you've never had to really suffer anything bad in your life...the fact that you'd consider not letting people organise parties without any control over them as evil is testament. Which is clearly why you have time to be crying over how you don't have any friends, won't go out, etc, cos if you really did have something to be sad about you wouldn't be rolling in self pity all the time.

But that aside, ever considered there might be other reasons why illegals aren't necessarily all good news? For example, I saw the other day someone on the KFA forum from over in America talking about illegals there where the security was handled by criminals who'd charge you to park then rob your car when you went...and it'd be naive to suggest that stuff like that doesn't happen all the time. Not to mention that illegals will not have the normal constraints over health & safety, making it a lot harder to cope with people who fall ill either trhough drugs or even other reasons. To suggest that it's just because of the government meddling because they can is not only laughable but fucking stupid.
